Over the past several years, three of my beautiful critters have died: Mitch (Rottweiler), Luke (Siamese), and Albert Einstein (guinea pig). We have one cat...Torrey. I just don't know if I have it in me to acquire anything else right now.
But that doesn't mean I won't pet-sit if the need arises. We are currently hamster-watching. Teddy belongs to a couple of adorable little boys that we know. They wanted to make sure that Teddy knew where they were...so they left notes by his water bottle for him to read while getting a drink. [sigh] I thought that was one of the cutest things I'd ever heard!
Pets have such a way of burrowing right into our hearts. Just like my Mitch, Luke and Einstein, I'm sure you have had animals that occupy a special place in your memories. Please share.
